"Breviário dos Pássaros" is a musical mosaic invoking an ecological language, a transition plan between humans, machines, birds, and spirits. It is a call to a mutant and pulsating technoshamanism. Music that exchanges fixed structures for the playfulness of instinctive inventiveness; the exploration of electroacoustic environments that emerge from the living biomechanical systems, resisting their own registers and producing their own songs, no longer as birds or men, but as the transitory and gigantic entanglement of vital drives; a musical mirage of life transcending itself.

“Breviário dos Pássaros” was recorded between January and July 2018, in the home studio Toca da Coruja, in the city of Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

Guitars, voice, piano, electronic programming, percussive instruments, flute, sampling and field recordings by João Carvalho.

Samples were taken from the Converse Sample Library. Other samples were also randomly chosen from a personal archive of home recordings.
