"At Home With...(songs for solitude)"
Every week a new artist is invited to share two unreleased songs with the world in lockdown.
For the eighth round, we present the ambient fields from Grotta Veterano.

RAHORN: “The tracks that composite this piece were all made during the late evening, at night and I think this track reflects very much this kind of lonely night feeling. I tried to build the tension throughout the first half of the track using different sources, including synth and field recording, and then release it in the second half, using a very simple tune played on a very very simple, very static synth. The idea was to let something very peaceful, out of tension, almost as if it came out secretly, while no one notices.”
KINGTITLE SEE: “This track is pure bittersweet. As for the precedent track, the concept is absent. The only idea is to explore music while making it. In this track the tension constantly overlaps with more relaxed moments, using only the ambiguity of the chords. The track slowly fills with crackles and rustles, guiding the listener into a totally abstract sound space, made of dilated chords, long notes of glockenspiel, and tape loop, rather than using a single static drone.”

This album doesn't cease to fill me with joy and bliss.
It turned out to be one of the most listened to of my year 2021 - mostly late in the evening, but also as a comfort and companion during office work hours.
