"At Home With...(songs for solitude)"
Every week a new artist is invited to share two unreleased songs with the world in lockdown.
For the seventh round, we present the nostalgic tunes from El Conejo.

OH, MY SWEET COCOON: “What is the concept of home for you? I've been thinking a lot about this. Maybe, because I've moved a lot in these past 6 years. I have this feeling that I haven’t found my spot in this world yet. At least, the geographical one. I believe we will resignify a lot of things when all this comes to an end – and our feeling of belonging is one of them. For many, home can be where the heart is. For others, that imaginary place that you dream of every night. Perhaps, a nostalgia for a bygone childhood. A safe place, like a caterpillar cocoon. A sound recorded deep in your memory, like a gate howling with the wind in a distant farmhouse. For me, this song is a cozy tune to dig all these buried memories.”
BLOOM, SPRING, BLOOM: "Slow down. You don't have to despair. The world still goes on when you're gone. The sun and the moon will keep rise and fall through the landscapes. The love you shared will be the love you will take with you. And the Spring will be blooming again, and again, and again.”
“When the lockdown started, all my musical equipment stayed in the studio where I share with the band Constantina. So, all these two pieces that you find here were recorded using what I found available at home: a 6 string resonator, an old harmonium keyboard, a violin bow, and some field recordings that I collected during travels. Take care, see you all soon."

A wonderful musical collection that shows the unity of the whole world and the support of Ukraine during the long war, which will undoubtedly end with the victory of Ukraine. And now the terrible numbers... Only according to official data as of today #russiaisaterroriststate killed 510 children in Ukraine, injured another 1141 children, kidnapped 19546 children. There are many more unofficial victims. And russia remains a member of the UN... Desynkro Music

Ishmael has quickly become one of my favorite ambient artists and this release was my introduction his music. It's a great place to start and will waste no time in showing you how exceptional and moving his use of field recordings is. In a genre that is arguably oversaturated, Ishmael stands out. <3 Jim Penola
